ABOUT US
Our family owned business have been making high quality vegan products like the smoked salami and the smoked seitan since 2012.
It’s been a long road from plan to realisation. My husband, from his previous job, knew the meat industry and all the tricks of the trade. Most of our family had been vegetarian for a long time, so at first we experimented with grain salamis for our own use only, and many of our friends tried them. The feedback was very good, so after refining the recipe and gaining some more experience in making them, we started to produce and sell the salamis as part of our business.
Over the years, there has been a growing demand for a product that is easy to slice, dice and grate, and is suitable not only for immediate consumption but also for cooking. This is how the idea of the smoked seitan was born. It is definitely our most versatile product.
Our factory has always produced only vegan products and in 2015 we were audited by the European Vegetarian Union. As a result of their audit, all of our products achieved vegan certification. This allows us to display the Vegan logo of the association on our product labels, which guarantees the consumers that our products meet the requirements for vegan products.
With those people in mind who try to avoid gluten in their diet, we started making chickpea and lentil salamis from ingredients that do not naturally contain any gluten. They have been accepted well and they have been a great success ever since.
Chickpeas became one of our favourite ingredients, so we launched our new range of barbecue sausages called Chickpea Grillers in 2022, which are preserved by heat treatment. The Grillers are also perfect for pan frying not just cooking on the grill, so they are a great with any side dish.
In March 2023, we opened our new plant, which has several times the floor space of our old small factory. This gave us the opportunity to expand our capacity and make new products. This has allowed us to realise our old dream of producing ready meals in jars, which are also free from additives and preservatives.
Our mission is to make high quality food products that are full of flavour and are made of only plant based ingredients, that can be enjoyed by not only vegans and vegetarians, but everybody who likes to eat a healthy and varied diet, or just simply wants to trysomething new. Our heart and our products are centered around the traditional Hungarian recipes that were passed down from generation to generation, and we are proud representatives of the Hungarian cuisine with our own twist added to it. Although, we love experimenting with herbs and spices from the Mediterranean and other places too. Cooking and making delicious food will always be our passion.
