Any of our smoked “sausages” makes a perfect topping for vegetable stews, but perhaps the garlic-flavored Csicseri Bori is the best choice for this purpose, as it pairs perfectly with all kinds of ingredients and seasonings.
Ingredients:
Preparation:
Heat the oil in a pot, then add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Once the onions are browned, remove the pot from the heat, add the bay leaves, season with salt and pepper, then add the paprika and marjoram. Mix thoroughly, then return to the heat. Stir in the potatoes, cut into 3–4 cm pieces, then add enough water to cover them. Cook over medium-high heat for 15–18 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.
Mix the vegan sour cream with the flour until smooth, then gradually pour it into the stew. Stir well and cook for about 4 more minutes to thicken slightly. If you prefer not to use flour, you can mash some of the potatoes to thicken the stew instead.
How to prepare the Csicseri Bori:
Cut it into thick slices and gently fry both sides of each slice in a little oil. If you don’t have time to make meatloaf, this is a super quick and tasty alternative.
Enjoy!
