Smashed hot-dog

This is not just a weekday favourite but it can be your go to recipe for parties too, as it’s so quick and easy to prepare and you can mix and match any ingredients to your liking.

You will need a sandwich toaster or a contact grill for this recipe.
We will show you 4 examples of these smashed hot-dogs just to give you a few ideas but the good thing is that you can mix and match any ingredients to your liking.

How to prepare:
  • Put a little bit of olive oil on the grill or sandwich toaster.
  • Place the Chickpea Grillers on the grill, close the top and fry them until crunchy on the outside.
  • Cut the hot-dog bread then spread your choice of sauce on it (mustard, BBQ, vegan mayo or pesto).
  • Put the Chickpea Grillers in them and add your favourite toppings.
  • Put the filled hot-dogs back in the grill or sandwich toaster, push them together slightly so the flavours really come together.
  • You know that it’s ready when the bread is crunchy and the vegan „cheese” melted!
